Enjoy the ride. Relax in every cabin.
Hello Member,

This month, we're rolling out the red carpet with two major premieres: free inflight entertainment in all cabins with American Spotlight and our Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

More great entertainment
American Spotlight features newly-released, award-winning movies and TV programs from HBO®, NBCUniversal, Disney, Sony Entertainment and many others, plus games and a wide variety of music. You can enjoy all American Spotlight has to offer via our in-seat screens, streaming video entertainment, inflight radio stations and more.

We already offer free entertainment on all of our international flights, and now, we're bringing you free personal entertainment selections in every cabin on nearly all of our domestic, mainline flights, too.

We're adding streaming video to more than 200 planes this month to give you free entertainment on 97% of our domestic flights. Browse our inflight library of award-winning movies and television shows, which can be streamed to your personal device.

Plus, we're the first airline in the world to feature the brand-new Bose® QuietComfort® 25 Acoustic Noise Cancelling® headphones in our premium cabins, starting with select routes on our Airbus A321T and 787 Dreamliner aircraft.

Our Dreamliner takes to the skies
We have the youngest fleet of any U.S.-based network carrier, and now we're proud to welcome the 787 Dreamliner to the fleet.

The Dreamliner features in-seat entertainment, power outlets and Wi-Fi at every seat. Our Business Suite is custom-designed to be the roomiest in the industry, and includes fully lie-flat seats and direct aisle access. The American Dreamliner was built with you in mind, with larger, electro-chromatic windows you can dim with the touch of a button, and a quieter cabin for a more relaxed experience throughout the aircraft.

Skiplagged saves you money! Airlines hate this site

Introduces

American Airlines, Delta AirLines United Airlines, Orbitz and all other travel sites hate skiplagged.com, a consumer friendly website because it saves you money every time you travel.

Here is how it works: Lets say you want to travel from JFK to MIA on Saturday January 23, 2015
Results shown below were as of Friday January 2, 2015 and may change hourly.
AA.com shows the cheapest flight is from Newark #1684 at 11:15 am to MIA for $159 one way.

Enter this information into skiplagged.com and you have several choices.
American Airlines Flight 2351 from JFK to Jacksonville with a stop in Miami is $112

You see by buying a ticket to end in another destination it actually cost less than going to my intended city directly.

Important Note: You can't check in any baggage since it will go to your final destination.

The Airlines are crying that this is illegal or unfair and want this stopped at once.
I say use this site until all the airlines get the message that consumers are smart and we don't want to be pushed around by them.

Lets take a look at how airlines mistreated consumers lately:
1) Years ago every airline allowed passengers to take luggage. Most people that travel on vacation usually need clothing. Not all of us go to nudist resorts!

2) We used to get a real meal on a cross country flight, now if you get a .5 ounce bag of pretzels you are grateful.

3) Years ago we had to call in to make reservations now we do everything online and it costs $25.00 to say hello to a real person.

4) With computers prices have gotten lower, except making a change on your ticket. Date changes vary from $75 to several hundred dollars.

5) Cancelling a ticket means you lose all your money. Image trying to return an item for a refund and being told no money back! You would never buy there again. Granted airline seats are different. There should be a sliding scale where you get a 100% for cancelling 1+ weeks in advance and at least a travel credit for last minute cancellations.

6) In every other industry you can buy any item and give it to anyone you want. If I buy a ticket and can't travel why can't I call in and gift my ticket to another family member?

7) Fuel prices are the lowest they have been in years, Are the airlines lowing their prices accordingly?

8) Did you ever walk into Home Depot and have a manager say this can of paint is $1,000 since its the last one and the next shipment is in two weeks? Why are airlines allowed to change prices by the hour and overcharge one customer over another? NO Other industry allows it and the US Government allows airlines to get away with it!

PS Stay tuned for my next article on frequent flyer miles.
