You see by buying a ticket to end in another destination it actually cost less than going to my intended city directly.
Important Note: You can't check in any baggage since it will go to your final destination.
The Airlines are crying that this is illegal or unfair and want this stopped at once.
I say use this site until all the airlines get the message that consumers are smart and we don't want to be pushed around by them.
Lets take a look at how airlines mistreated consumers lately:
1) Years ago every airline allowed passengers to take luggage. Most people that travel on vacation usually need clothing. Not all of us go to nudist resorts!
2) We used to get a real meal on a cross country flight, now if you get a .5 ounce bag of pretzels you are grateful.
3) Years ago we had to call in to make reservations now we do everything online and it costs $25.00 to say hello to a real person.
4) With computers prices have gotten lower, except making a change on your ticket. Date changes vary from $75 to several hundred dollars.
5) Cancelling a ticket means you lose all your money. Image trying to return an item for a refund and being told no money back! You would never buy there again. Granted airline seats are different. There should be a sliding scale where you get a 100% for cancelling 1+ weeks in advance and at least a travel credit for last minute cancellations.
6) In every other industry you can buy any item and give it to anyone you want. If I buy a ticket and can't travel why can't I call in and gift my ticket to another family member?
7) Fuel prices are the lowest they have been in years, Are the airlines lowing their prices accordingly?
8) Did you ever walk into Home Depot and have a manager say this can of paint is $1,000 since its the last one and the next shipment is in two weeks? Why are airlines allowed to change prices by the hour and overcharge one customer over another? NO Other industry allows it and the US Government allows airlines to get away with it!

For 21 day advance purchase fares, travel must occur between November 5, 2013 and February 28, 2014. Lowest sale fares are only available for travel on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. Tickets must be purchased by11:59pm CT Tuesday, October 15, 2013. Blackout dates are November 21, 2013 through December 3, 2013, December 18, 2013 through January 8, 2014, January 17, 2014 through January 21, 2014, and February 13, 2014 through February 18. Lowest sale fares are available only on certain itineraries. Seats are limited, subject to availability, and may not be available on all flights. Flights may not operate daily. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. Changes or cancellations can be made for a $100 fee per guest through all channels, plus any increase in fare, if applicable. Any remaining balance will be placed in a guest's travel bank, good for travel on Virgin America for one year from date of issue. Changes or cancellations of a booking made with Elevate Points will be subject to a $100 redeposit fee per guest.
