Customers who purchase Economy Class tickets on or after May 3, 2010, may check one bag for no charge and a second bag for $30 each way within the size and weight limitations. Customers purchasing Economy Class tickets prior to May 3, 2010, may check two bags at no charge within the size and weight limitations. The changes apply for travel on American Airlines, American Eagle and AmericanConnection® flights. For passengers who are exempt from the first and second bag charge.

Customers who purchase Economy Class tickets prior to March 29, 2010, will be charged $15 each way for the first checked bag and $25 each way for the second checked bag. The changes apply for travel on American Airlines, American Eagle and AmericanConnection® flights. For passengers who are exempt from the first and second bag charge.
